AT&T Global Wi-Fi App Reviews

Useless in a major European city-Scam alert

I had gotten a reduced overseas plan from AT&T because they inferred that this app would allow me to get into wifi all over Barcelona. It did not. The spots were very limited, and I couldnt get it to work where it said it would. And I had to pay for cell service all the while trying to find the spots on the app and to try and make it work, which it did not. Seems to me its in their best interest for it not to work so that youre stuck paying for their cell services. What a ripoff.

This app is crap

Im an it professional visiting Melbourne, Australia. While Ive found hotspots, the app NEVER connects to it. Ive tried everything. Im asked for username and password for the hotspots, then try to connect using the app, yet the app never connects, or really even recognized the hotspot, even though my phone tried to auto connect. Bottom line, this App is FAR from glitch free. Should not be released to public being this problematic and worthless. Find another option for hotspots, or pay for data. Or, buy a SIM card with prepaid data once you get to the country, which, I highly recommend. Side note: the texting and cellular are seemless if thats important to you when traveling, DO NOT GET if you are looking to get free hotspots, it just wont happen.

A Single Hotspot In All of Somgspore

Despite listing StarHub and Mobile One in the link from the Apps FAQ section (att com / globalcountries) only one wifi hotspot is located by the map in the app.

Do not download - useless

Ive tried using this in London, Paris, Stockholm, Rome and Copenhagen and it has NEVER connected me successfully to wifi. I assume this is so you will burn through your data plan. Do not use this app.
